My Novel- Among Other Things

Thought I'd blog again because I can't just leave this blog sitting here. So, some updates.
I have officially finished chapter one of The Illusion! Awesome, right? Now I just need to add some sketches onto the pages and I'm done! Though that may take awhile :| I'm going to start up this drawing of a mysterious figure in the parking lot staring at Gwen and her dad in the restaurant. Creepy indeed xD
Second, I will be posting it onto my deviantART, KyraLynMoss, as a pdf file so it's like an online book. I'm planning to get it all up by December with YouTube videos. Wait, am I repeating myself? I have no idea. I keep saying it in my head, anyway.
Third, I'm officially 14! Woo hoo :D It's great so far! I like it better than 13, anywho. I got a sketchbook, graphite art pencils, an art kit, The Blood of Olympus (I love it a lot!!), The Steampunk Bible, The Books of Elsewhere: Still Life, NYS Wildlife Guide, bookmarks, a chirping wooden cricket, and the epic comic Bone in one volume. I'm going to post a review on Bone pretty soon just because ;)
Four, it's Thanksgiving! Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you guys have a good one! I'm having a good time so far even though no one's here yet. There's at least five inches of snow where I am so I went sledding down the driveway (it's a great hill to go down). It's still snowing now, so there may even be half a foot. Weird.
So have an awesome Thanksgiving break, peeps! Go sledding if you have snow, eat that turkey or whatever you eat, and have fun with family and friends! Bye all :)

Gwen and Lyra Sketches

Thought I'd post some updated drawings of my characters. The other ones below are getting a bit old and their designs have changed so... update! Here they are now:
Gwen Blackwell :D Love her newer design! She's wearing my shirt too ha ha.
I like how I added the leather jacket on Lyra. And the boots. It just fits, somehow.
I love how they turned out, and they didn't even take me that long, when they usually take me awhile. I need to figure out how to draw shoes from the front, however. It looks a bit weird that they're standing like that... Ah well. They're supposed to be cartoony anyway. The hands turned out decent too, mostly because of guidelines. (I drew guidelines for the face, hands, and body, just not arms or legs.) Tell me what you peeps think! (And plus I didn't go over them with Procreate because I just felt it would ruin the cartoony feel. I don't know.)

NaNoWriMo And Give The Gift of Art Challenge

So, I'm one of the hundred something million or more participating in NaNoWriMo this year. Though I'm doing the YWP, Young Writers Program, version as to only write a couple thousand words. Mostly because I don't want to stress myself out like last year... and I'm working on the same novel. It's been a year- happy anniversary :D At this point I know where my novel is taking me so that's good. (I promise I'll post more often, I've just been forgetting to) I am also going to participate in this Give The Gift Of Art Challenge where you have to mix in some precious possession into your artwork. Well, I definitely know what I'm going to be doing. Just not going to tell yet ;) I can see it in my head, and with this how-to anatomy book at Barnes & Noble, that should help me draw what I see in my head even more. It's due sometime next month, so I have plenty of time. I don't think it'll take me toooo long to make. I'm not going to be one of those people that puts it off until last minute, anyhow.
Well, I got to school now. I'm going to the Metropolitan Opera for band to see the Barber of Seville! Can't wait :) Fi-ga-rooooooo
